Pryndall White, LPC
FOUNDER AND PRIVATE PRACTICE OWNER
Oftentimes, the hardest part of identifying a provider comes with the barrier of wondering if the provider you choose has also “done the work.”
Pryndall White relocated to the DMV area in 2018 from Connecticut after accepting a position providing mobile crisis services to children and families in the Northern Virginia Region.
Pryndall spent her undergrad and graduate career at Long Island University- Brooklyn Campus where she studied Journalism and Psychology in undergrad, before branching into clinical mental health. Pryndall graduated from LIU Brooklyn in 2014 with her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling.
Pryndall has built a career that stemmed from her passion to connect with clients by meeting them where they are, regardless of the settings they physically and emotionally present in. Pryndall has spent the last 11 years of her clinical experience providing clinical services in the school, community, residential eating disorder program, court mandated systems , private practice and outpatient settings.
Pryndall aimed to create a practice that helps clients understand that healing and the positive consequences of healing must begin within one’s own self awareness and willingness to do the work. Intrinsic motivation is defined as, “the doing of an activity for its inherent satisfaction rather than for some separable consequence”.
Pryndall utilizes a client centered approach when working with children, tweens/teens, adults, and families that empowers them to guide the treatment in hopes that their progress and healing will be sustained at the end of their journey. Pryndall possesses a strong emphasis on incorporating cultural competence into her practices to help change the stigma on mental health awareness.
